DVD Release: The Ex on DVD August 21, 2007
Nothing burns like an old flame. Zach Braff, Jason Bateman and Amanda Peet lead an A-list cast in the painfully funny comedy. The Ex coming to DVD in both Rated and Unrated Versions on August 21 From Genius Products And The Weinstein Company

“The Ex has the off-the-wall, go-for-broke zaniness of “Flirting With Disaster.”
-Scott Foundas, LA Weekly

Dirty tricks and sabotage from an old flame create an atmosphere of fierce paranoia in The Ex landing on DVD August 21, 2007 from The Weinstein Company and Genius Products LLC.

Zach Braff (“Scrubs,” Garden State), Amanda Peet (“Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip,” A Lot Like Love, Something’s Gotta Give) and Jason Bateman (The Break-Up, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story), lead an all-star cast in the hilarious no-holds-barred comedy.

When Tom’s (Braff) wife (Peet) gets pregnant, he has to reel in his slacker lifestyle and work for his father-in-law in this Meet The Parents style comedy. Featuring an outstanding supporting cast, The Ex also stars Amy Adams (OscarÒ Nominee for Best Supporting Actress - Junebug, Talladega Nights), Paul Rudd (The 40 Year Old Virgin), Donal Logue (“Grounded For Life”), Mia Farrow (The Omen), Charles Grodin (Midnight Run), and comedians Amy Poehler and Fred Armisen from “Saturday Night Live.”

Available in both unrated and rated versions, The Ex DVD features laugh-out-loud extras, including deleted scenes, a blooper reel, alternate endings, an alternate opening, and will be available for the suggested retail price of $28.95.

Tom Reilly (Braff) and his wife Sofia (Peet) are in for some major changes now that they have a newborn.

As a lawyer, Sofia has always provided a comfortable living while Tom has contributed love, support and the occasional paycheck. When Sofia decides to be a stay-at-home mom all that changes. Tom moves the family to Ohio to work for his father-in-law (Grodin). His boss, Chip (Bateman), happens to still carry a torch for Sofia from their high school days.

Chip will stop at nothing to see Tom defeated while no one but Tom can see Chip for the evil genius he is. Through it all Tom’s esteem is depleted, his manhood challenged (by a surprisingly large adversary) and he’s watching his family slip away.
